Globe Trekkers: Student Travel Experience

Explore, connect & learn across boundaries

About the Program

About the Program

Globe Trekkers, part of the Global Voices Initiative, is an educational journey that invites students to explore diverse cultures, environments, and histories.

Designed to cultivate a peer-to-peer approach, this program provides opportunities for authentic cultural exchange, hands-on learning, and reflection with local communities and experts.

Program highlights include:

  • Peer-to Peer Cultural Exchange: Engage in meaningful interactions with our local partner high schools, students and community members. Share ideas and perspectives, and forge bonds that transcend geographical boundaries.
  • Historical and Archeological Exploration: Delve into cultural heritage, exploring the contrast between ancient civilizations and colonial influences. Learn from experienced archeologists and local guides who provide insights into the rich tapestry of history.
  • Nature Exploration and Conservation: Spend time in significant natural reserves, understanding the ecological importance and efforts to preserve these areas. Benefit from professional guidance to learn about diverse ecosystems and species.
  • Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility: Through hands-on community projects and engagements with local professionals and organizations, students are encouraged to understand and act upon local and global challenges.
