Lifelines: Environmental Dialogue for Youth Empowerment

Lifelines: Environmental Dialogue for Youth Empowerment

About the Program

About the Program

Our Lifelines program helps students confront and understand environmental challenges on both local and international scales, providing them with the tools and forum to actively engage in problem-solving and collaboration across borders.

Through a series of interactive videoconferences, online posting forums, and in-classroom sessions, students from three world regions will:

  •  Meet and connect with their peers as fellow global citizens
  • Use the storytelling power of the arts and other methodologies to share perspectives into the environmental realities they are facing
  • Gain environmental literacy (a common framework essential to understanding their environment)
  •  Research environmental challenges confronting their communities
  • Delve into root causes by identifying the various stakeholders and their often varying viewpoints
  • Collaborate with their peers to solve specific environmental challenges
  • Develop public speaking skills as they share their newfound understanding effectively with their overseas partners

We warmly welcome students, educators, and administrators to become part of this visionary effort to prepare a generation of youth to be responsible stewards of our planet, empowering them to face environmental challenges with creativity, understanding, and collaboration.
