Give your students an insider’s, peer-to-peer experience in one of the most important rainforest and cultural regions in the world.
Our 8-day tour features:
- Exchanging ideas and learning with local high school students and communities that live in the heart of the Guatemalan rainforest.
- Exploring the Maya Biosphere Natural Reserve, the biggest tropical rainforest in Central America. Led by professional guides (biologists), students will experience this incredible region, learning of its diverse flora and fauna, and the important efforts being undertaken to preserve this important natural park and the species contained in it.
- Discovering the contrast between ruins of the ancient Maya civilization with the colonial cathedrals in Antigua. Students will learn about Maya archeological sites with the interpretation of archeologists with vast experience in Mesoamerican ancient cultures.
