This photo was taken by Christi Rose during her recent trip to Guatemala. She shared, “These students from the school of El porvenir in Peten, Guatemala were so proud to show off the art work from their USA partner school, Sallye B. Mathis Elementary School in Jacksonville, FL.”
The students are standing next to the art work created in this year’s Rainforest ArtLink program.  The art work was created by third grade students from Florida.   The sign reads, Conexiones Creativos 2013, Spanish for Creative Connections 2013.

I think the sentiments from one of this year’s partner teachers sums up the whole experience, “This year was utterly sensational!  My students were thoroughly immersed in their partners and their [own]art pieces.  We spent countless hours analyzing and comparing and admiring our partners’ [art] pieces and the values depicted.  What a truly valuable experience it was for each and every one of us.”
