The person on one side of the rainbow can’t see the other person on the other side of the rainbow, but their thoughts are connected. That connection is depicted in the rainbow. I value the importance of helping each other.

My father is strict, but he lets me choose the career I want in the future. My mother is always supporting me. We just started to live with my grandparents because of the disaster, and they are very kind. I play baseball, read and listen to music. I don’t like negative words. I want to be a professional baseball player when I grow up.

Dear Valuable Friends from U.S.

First of all, I appreciate your concerns about the earthquake and Tsunami. Our family has never experienced such a great earthquake before. I was scared, too, but I was worried for my friends more than myself when it occurred at school. Honestly, I was really scared and wanted to run away from everything. After the earthquake and the experiences, I myself, sense that I am stronger than before and vision life differently now. So many people lost their lives because of the earthquake and Tsunami and we need your corporation to reconstruct a better world. Please never think about destroying lives or nature. Let’s make our world beautiful and wonderful together. Our hearts, Japanese and American, connect somewhere.

When we advance, we look far,
When we live, we live humbly,
Smile, looking back
May we have wonderful lives!

Your best friend,
Kohta Tatoh
