What I’ve chosen is the Dragon Boat Race, which is held during the Dragon Boat Festival (the 5th day of the 5th lunar month). I chose this topic because people hold this race to commemorate a great patriotic poet–Qu Yuan. On the river, the Dragon Boat racers are rowing furiously. The people on the banks are watching and cheering. This painting embodies our Chinese people’s spirit of hard struggle.

There are three people in my family: my mother, my father, and I. I like music and reading, and I dislike sports. When I’m free, I like listening to music. I usually help my mother do housework.
