This scene represents the circling around the Ka’ bah that people do during Hajj, (pilgrimage to Makah), called Tawaf. In the center sits the Ka’bah, the house of Allah. The swirling colors around it represent the people as they circle around the Ka’bah. I am depicting the value of religious practice. This is important to me because I feel lucky to have been born into the religion of Islam.

I am the person who is drawing the picture, only my hand can be seen.

My family is my father, mother, nine year old brother and myself. In my free time, I read, play soccer, sing, draw and play the piano. I like animals and Bangladeshi foods. I dislike the night time during late Autumn and Winter because it feels as if a cloud of gloom has set inside the atmosphere. I am not sure what I would like to do when I grow up. My teacher says I have a gift for writing, perhaps I’ll be an author.
