A child’s 1st birthday is called a Dol in Korean. Family gathers and they have many traditions. The boy is blessed, then forced to choose a couple items from several; noodles mean he will never be hungry, a notebook meaning he/she will be a good scholar. This is followed by playing/introducing family members to the baby and eating. The value of celebration brings family together, eases tension and it’s a fun, important part of life!NOTE: The title is in Korean with the English translation on parenthesis

I have one younger brother (9 years old) and one mom and one dad. In my free time I bake, figure skate and explore the internet. I also practice hockey in my basement. I love ice hockey and I like to travel and go on adventures. I dislike worms and mean people. I want to be a professional hockey player and a writer on the side.
