About the Artwork

My piece represents NYC/”The Big Apple.” Last summer I explored New York City with my dad, and the main structures that caught my eye were lampposts. There were lamp posts everywhere and were especially pretty at night. The city was full of people running around from every direction, but I decided to exclude them from my piece to focus more on the scenery/nature. The biggest connection to nature illustrated in my piece is the big apple collagraph. It was a cool idea to have a symbol that is literally another name for New York. I preserve my connection with nature by keeping a garden full of vegetables and herbs in my backyard.

City Living and Nature.

My family consists of three siblings, mother and father. I have an older brother, Dominick, a twin brother, Mason, and a little sister, Gabriella. I also have a dog named Duncan. I like biking, painting, listening to music, writing, lacrosse, swimming, and hanging out with friends. I don’t like math, seafood, running, nor singing. I don’t have a clear vision of where and what I want to be, I’m going to let the world decide for me when the time comes.
