The Brazilian singer, Luiz Gonzaga was very prominent Brazilian folk singer, songwriter, musician and poet. He is responsible for the promotion of northeastern music throughout the rest of our country. The people of his area “the backlands” live a very simplistic lifestyle, yet have left a musically rich culture to our country.
