ArtLink 2020-2021 Theme Assignment: 

To balance means to bring harmony. To find stability.

Students were asked to consider the importance of the natural world to their culture, in their daily lives and to their community. As opposed to the time they might be spending in other activities and/or digitally engaged online and on mobile phones.

Here are a few questions we asked them to ponder: What balance did they strike? How do they balance both?

We also invited our artists to go deeper to share their concerns about the natural environment, and our shared planet. They illustrated their observations including ideas for solutions that might help restore the balance of nature.
