2020 – Special Exhibit

“Art is a window for me in a locked world. I can go anywhere I want in my paintings.” ~ Hanzade from Ankara, Turkey.

The exhibit has been selected from the sixty+ paintings submitted by students whose schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The artwork, and the accompanying artist descriptions, reveal what the young artists were doing at home – what they were thinking about, worrying about, and dreaming about – during the lockdown.
