On Monday, December 6, a panel of artists and educators met at Creative Connections’ offices to select artwork from our US-Arab ArtLink Exchanges for inclusion in our upcoming International Children’s Art Exhibition. Our jurors reviewed artwork from 10 exchanges between students in the US and students in Jordan, selecting those pieces that offered the best insight into the artist’s own culture. With so many wonderful pieces to choose from, the selection process was not easy, but our panel worked diligently and the final selections promise to be an exciting part of our show. Thank you to our jurors – Pamela Hovland, Bill Burnham, Susie Salomon and Susie Hurwitt – for their time and effort. Creative Connections’ International Children’s Art Exhibition will be held from May 19 through June 30, 2011 at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT.
