We are thrilled to be attending and presenting at this year’s Global Education Forum co-sponsored by Asia Society and Penn GSE, held on October 16 and 17 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

The Creative Connections’ team will be presenting a workshop entitled RainForest Live! on Friday, October 16th at 11:15 am.  The workshop is designed for social studies, language arts, art, foreign language and/or science teachers seeking an impactful, truly interdisciplinary approach to global education.

It will highlight our award-winning ArtLink program which expands global perspectives and builds 21st century learning skills for thousands of students each year.

We will be conducting a live videoconference with students and educators living in the heart of the Guatemalan rainforest. Utilizing original art created by these students, we will explore in real time the similarities and the differences in cultural practices, beliefs, and environmental concerns. Included in the workshop will be user-friendly tips for educators who wish to conduct similar international peer-to-peer exchanges in their own classroom.

We will also be hosting an exhibition booth featuring art from our RainForest ArtLink Program, information about Creative Connections and our other programs.
