What Is the Story?
It is about a trip my whole family took to a park. We went for two reasons: to spend time together as a family and to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday.

Because I spent time with my whole family. The values we learned were sharing and being together as a family.

My cousins, grandparents, uncles, aunts, my mother, my father, my siblings, and me.

When does it Take Place?
This family trip happened about seven years ago. We shared food together around noon.
What do you want to be Understood about You/Your Culture?
I want them to understand that we belong to the Mam culture (an indigenous Maya group from western Guatemala). There is nothing wrong with being from this culture because we have strong values.
