2012 – Putting Myself in the Picture

    RUS-12-090

ArtLink 2011-12 Theme Assignment: We asked our participating artists to illustrate an aspect of their culture that is particularly meaningful to them and to put themselves somewhere in their art piece.

This exhibition highlights the talents of over 170 young artists from 24 countries. Their work was selected from well over 3000 pieces that were produced as part of Creative Connections’ ArtLink program for the 2011-12 school year.

Creative Connections’ “Art Partners of the Year” honors were awarded to:

International Partner of the Year: Marina International School, Banjul, The Gambia
    Coordinator: Fatou Bin Jobe
This collection included a variety of beautiful and thoughtful pieces portraying the culture in the Gambia.

US Partner of the Year: Amundsen High School, Chicago, IL
    Art Teacher: Ms. Camille Johnson
The talented young artists from Chicago created an exciting collection of thoughtful work representing the culture of city life.

    Special thanks to
