What Is the Story?
The story I’m illustrating is me honoring and cherishing my aunt’s name with blessings and happiness. She loved sunsets so its in the back to remind me of her. There’s hearts and stars because it’s representing love and happiness.

I selected this story because I want to make sure my aunt’s name is honored in the best ways possible and I value honoring my ancestor’s names.

The people in my story are me and my aunt and my mom.
Where does It Take Place?
It takes place on a beach watching the sunset.
When does it Take Place?
My story takes place in 2026 on the beach in the summer reminiscing our final moments with her.
What do you want to be Understood about You/Your Culture?
I want my peers to understand that this is really important to me and inspire them to honor their ancestors.

Three of my likes are music, dance, and theater. I love these things because I can be myself. Three of my dislikes are spiders, heights, and being in the dark. I don’t like those things because they scare me.

I like to dance and sing in my free time because I could use my emotion in my dance.

My role model is Zara Larsson because she spreads kindness all around the world.
Career Goals
I want to be a Radio City Rockette because since I was little I’ve always had a connection to the Rockettes.
