My art piece is about my home. If you look at the left building, you’ll see the abbreviation “N.Y.C.H.A.” This stands for New York Housing Authority which is the owner of all of those brown buildings. NYCHA is run by the government, and they own a lot of buildings in my community, Red Hook. NYCHA’s buildings are mostly tall and they have small apartments in them. I live in a NYCHA building with 14 floors! I live on the 6th floor.-Muestro mi hogar, en el edificio de la izquierda hay una abreviatura: NYCHA que significa Autoridad de Hogares de Nueva York, ellos son dueños de todos los edificios de esta área y ellos hacen parte del gobierno. Estos edificios son altos y hay muchos apartamentos con muchas personas allí. Si detalla, pueden ver las cámaras de seguridad y lámparas para evitar robos y atrapar a los ladrones.

I like to learn, and I’m very good at Math. I also like playing tag with my friends. One of my hobbies is using computers. You’ll notice that in my community there are a variety of people with different races and colors.-Me gusta aprender y soy buena para las matematicas, tambien me gusta jugar tenta con mis amigas y jugar baloncesto y futbol. Me gustan los computadores. Acá vivimos muchas personas de diferentes grupos étnicos, de diferente color y raza Tenemos tambien muchas zonas verdes como pasto y árboles. Tambien tenemos acueducto y alcantarillado. Los contenedores de basura están en la parte de atrás. Hay camiones pequeños que recogen la basura y luego pasan camiones mas grandes que llevan la basura a sitios en donde la tratan y clasifican. En la parte superior hay palomas son aves comunes en Red Hook, tambien se ve un avión.
