About the Artwork

Medium: Poster color

In my drawing you can see the Filipino values and traditions. I gave emphasis to the boy holding the hand of his father to bless. That shows respect. Events that are celebrated every month are also mounted like, “Reyna Elena,” “Mahal na araw,” and “Fiestas.” I chose the tradition of being blessed by our parents and grandparents because this is a practice that shows respect for the elders. I also included some Filipino traditions and values that are celebrated.

I am nurtured with love and care by my parents. My mother is Melanie Raneses and my father is Noriel Raneses and my only sister is Ashley Raneses. I love to play basketball and I also draw and paint. I am fond of eating Filipino food. I spend my free time in reading books and watching T.V. If I do have spare time I surf in the internet to gain knowledge. I hope to finish my studies and have a good job, to help my family and myself when I get married in time.
