Medium: colored pencil

A teenager is looking in a mirror and seeing a completely different portrayal of herself and her culture. The mirror image represents how she figuratively sees herself and the real image is on the surface; a fake and placid image of herself. My piece incorporates a window into the truth of our culture through a relatable figure to young adults universally.

My family is supportive and fun. I like art, rain and music. I dislike hot weather and most sports. In my free time I like to draw and play the guitar or piano. I hope to be an artist.
