About the Artwork

My art piece takes place at the church. I was with both of my brothers, my aunt and my grandma. Last February I went to the church and got ashes from the Priest. Ash Wednesday is the celebration for Christians and Catholics when Jesus died for our sins in Christianity.
I selected this story because in my religion, Christianity, it’s important to celebrate Jesus dying because he died for our sins. This story is important because it show me spending time with my family and honoring my religion.
The story I am illustrating is in the church with the Priest next to giving me ashes.
In the background I have the windows in the church and my family which includes my two brothers, my aunt, and my grandma. In the church I also put crosses on the wall to show it was more like a church.

I have two brothers named Aden and Gavin. Aden is the oldest sibling and Gavin is the youngest sibling. I have a rabbit named Mopsy and two birds named Pedi and Piper. My younger brother has a turtle named Bowlder. My entire family goes to Great Wolf Lodge (amusement park and resort) every summer.
I like to dance, even though it can be tiring. It is really pretty and fun to do, I get to meet new people and make new friends. I don’t like Cheez-Its (a salty cheese cracker snack).
When I grow up I want to be a doctor. I want to help save lives and help people recover and improve their well-being. Doctors play a big role in society, without them we would have no one to heal us.
