Our Executive Director, Christi Rose, has been visiting many of our partner schools in Guatemala. She is pictured here (4th from the right)standing next to Mr. Ramon Zetina our collaborator from the Rainforest Alliance along with student performers from Cobán who dance and play the marimba*.

The group is in front of our first art show in Guatemala entitled, “Expo Arte Maya Infantil 2013”. This exhibit will be traveling locally until the end of August 2013.  Christi will be returning at the end of this week and we are all looking forward to hearing more about her travels!

 *The marimba is a musical instrument in the percussion family. It consists of a set of wooden bars. The bars are struck with mallets to produce musical tones.
