We were thrilled to welcome three Nigerian student artists to our offices yesterday, (left to right) Goodness O. Otun, Busola D. Ogunnowo and Ayomide E. Olayiwola.

They came with members of their families and our coordinator in Nigeria, Mr. Oyetunji Olu Akinloye,Executive Director of Peekok Youth Art Initiative in Lagos Nigeria.

The young artists are seen standing in front of their own art and other Nigerian art work created in the ArtLink program last year. They are holding their certificates of merit given to them by Alan Steckler, President and Founder of Creative Connections.

We enjoyed getting to know them and hearing them tell us about the meaning behind their art work and the choices they made during the creative process.  They were also happy to share with us how exciting it is when their partner’s art arrives from the USA. We thank them for visiting us, it was a pleasure! We look forward to seeing this year’s art work from Nigeria.
