About the Artwork

We made a thousand origami cranes to wish for a fast recovery for the people who were hospitalized. The value I am depicting is the connection between people, this is important.

Medium: Paint, colored pencil, crayon

My mother and father are kind. My grandmother, grandfather and younger brother are quite scary. I like lounging around in my free time. I like edamame and I don’t like Natto (fermented soy beans). When I grow up, I want to be a billionaire!

Dear Everyone of America,

I had a chance to take a look at the pictures and letters you sent us. The drawings are not like the ones Japanese children draw. We tend to draw faces, but you draw foot or hand. You are really good! I read your letters, too. I was moved and they appealed to my heart.
Thank you very much for your moving letters and wonderful pictures.
