About the Artwork

I did this for our Art and Reasons project, expressing some of my thoughts on pollution. Before we were here to pollute, there were miles and miles of gorgeous land that was there to begin with. Unfortunately, there’s not so much land any more and isn’t a subject to people’s careless littering. In this piece one section shows the carelessness of littering exaggerated so that barely any ground shows beneath the garbage. In the lower section the same piece of land is shown as a beautiful state park that has been cleaned up and could not have been seen underneath all of the garbage.

I am an only child. I have a cat and a dog who is a Cairn Terrier. I play travel soccer and basketball and I like to ski. I have played soccer for almost eight years. I also play two instruments; piano and flute. I really have no idea of what I would chose as a career. Being a teacher or coaching a sports team might be interesting but those are just thoughts. And I could wind up doing something totally different quite easily.
