About the Artwork

Tibetan men are praying with butter lamps, offering light to Goodness. There are a temple, houses, a stupa to the left with the eyes of Compassion, and the mountains of Himalaya.

I live in the monastery with the other lama students, who are family to me. In my free time, I read and play Payana, a swift game with five stones. We throw them up in the air and catch them. I also like to play soccer, sing, do Tibetan sacred dances and art, and meditate. When I grow up, I want to be a lama and help the needy, the poor, and the suffering. I wish to meditate until I am luminous enough to help all beings without exception.

Source of light: butter lamps
