About the Artwork

The theme of this picture is making bento box and I drew my mother who packs my lunch with love every morning. I also think it is very Japanese to see someone cooking with apron in the kitchen. I tried to include traditional Japanese items in the kitchen. The value I am depicting is my mother’s love when she packs my lunch. I appreciate her because it takes long time to make bento everyday from early morning and she doesn’t cut corners.

Featured food(s) Sausage in the shape of octopus, chikuwa fish cake, beef roll with lettuce, tomato, rice and plum pickle.

We are 4 people in my family with my mother, grand mother and grand father. All my family members support me and they are really kind. In my free time I enjoy reading, star gazing (only at night) and sleeping. The things I like are books and the food I like is onigiri. I don’t like whipped cream. When I grow up I’d like to travel the world.
