About the Artwork

My family and I are out on the porch. It is nighttime and the moon is especially bright. It is the night of the annual Moon Festival, a Chinese tradition. Legend says a man had a magic pouch that could turn him into the moon. His wife used the pouch to escape a thief and the man tried to tempt her down with sweets. That is why we eat mooncakes on the Moon Festival. The Moon Festival is important to me because it is a part of my tradition.

I have two brothers; an older one and a younger one. Their names are Jason (older) and Ethan (younger). In my free time I like to read and play on the computer. I like ice cream, pizza and writing fiction. I dislike cucumbers, tomatoes and marmalade. I want to be an author, musician or a teach when I grow up.
