My piece shows a marimba. This instrument is Guatemala’s most famous instrument and is played all over the country. It is a tradition to play the marimba during the national celebrations on September 14 and 15. I am depicting the value of the respect we show by our traditions of marimba music and dances during Guatemalan holidays.

We live very happily, we all study, and our parents are proud of us. I have eight siblings. We all love marimba music. In my free time I draw and paint. I would like to be an agricultural engineer. To help the environment we plant seeds from different tree species.

La marimba se toca en la cuidad, pueblos y aldeas de Guatemala, es parte de las tradiciones especialmente en las fiestas patrias del 15 de Septiembre.

Somos una familia muy feliz, somos 9 hermanos y todos estudiamos, mis padres estan orgullosos de nosotros, en mi tiempo libro me gusta leer y pintar. Cuando crezca quiero ser ingeniero forestal. Hacemos semilleros de viveros forestales con distintas especies de árboles.
