I live in an area called a township. The name is Alexandra. Some of the houses do not have electricity and so people cook food on coal stoves. My picture shows a coal truck driving through the township. People buy the coal and then take it home in boxes which they carry on their heads. You can also buy wood. When the truck leaves there is always a lot of coal left behind on the streets.

I don’t think that I can draw very well but my teacher said that she liked my picture because I show what life is really like in my country. People have to eat a meal every day and keep warm in winter. So wood and coal are very important to my people.
