Medium: Mixed

My painting represents a tradition in my community. We consider it an offering of thanks to God for the crops we receive. All of God’s offerings are called Mayajak which we consider a sacrifice to burn resin of the Recinactel tree. We pray around the sacrificial burning while holding lit candles.

I am very shy and love to learn. I love soccer and am the oldest in my family. My father supports me in everything I do; he wants to prepare me to become a professional since he didn’t have the opportunity to become one himself.
