Medium: Colored Pencil

In Puerto Rico we enjoy music, specially salsa which is the type of music we love to hear an dance. My piece shows a Guiro which is made from a large dried gourd. Several lines are carved on the front side while a large hole is made in the back which allows the musician to grasp the instrument with his left thumb. The sound is made by scrapping the front with a metal or hardwood stick.

I love my family and to dance every time I can.
