About the Artwork

Paper lanterns are flowing down the river on August 4th to commemorate those people who died on the day the Atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. It is also a symbol of history and to promote peace. I am depicting an important historical event in Japan to remember the tragedy of war.

I have a father and a mother. In my free time, I like to read books. I like to eat sour plums. I don’t like to eat a goya. It is a bitter vegetable. When I grow up, I want to be a nurse.
