About the Artwork

I have drawn the Papantla’s flying men. The ritual consists of dance and the climbing of a 30 meter pole. Four of the five participants then launch themselves tied with ropes to descend to the ground. The fifth remains on top of the pole, dancing and playing a flute and drum. Did you know that the flying men go around the post as many times as the days of the year? This is an important Mexican tradition to our culture.

There are five people in my family. My mother teaches me about computers. I like reading and listening to music and I don’t like running. When I grow up, I want to become a pharmacist or to do something related to medicine.
