A lady in her traditional costume is sitting on a donkey next to the village fountain in Pegia in the Paphos area. In the old times, ladies carried water all the way home and the fountain was a meeting point for young men and women (a good excuse!) In the 19th century things were hard on young people, they couldn’t go anywhere without permission. so, now we need to appreciate our“INDEPENDENCE”!
The most famous and oldest fountain of my country.
