In Ecuador a group of neighbors meet up and have a burning of “monigotes” * – a representation of the old year. The group has fun socializing, jumping over the fire, lighting up fire works, etc. By meeting together like a family, they accomplish a sense of community and union.

My parents, along with my siblings are born in Ecuador. In my free time I love to do digital art as well as use ink and water color. I also like baking and reading. I like indie music, art, manga, traveling, and succulents. I dislike waking up early, doing math, and extremely hot days. When I grow up I want to be a psychologist or a graphic designer.
