My piece shows my grandpa and me dancing at his birthday celebration in Bulgaria. This took place in a hotel where we had traditional Bulgarian food and my mother made a presentation about my grandpa with Bulgarian music.
I chose this story because it was one of the highlights of my trip to Bulgaria for the first time in 5 years. I was surrounded by my Bulgarian family and a lot of Bulgarian culture. I was able to connect deeper with my family and my background and culture. That particular moment was very memorable.

I have a mom, dad, and younger brother. My dad is a mathematician and enjoys biking. My mom likes to go for walks and my brother loves soccer.
I like art, classical music, reading and writing. I don’t like chocolate or other desserts.
I hope to be either a writer or artist when I grow up.
