The story I am illustrating is when I still lived in Florida in 2017. I was 7 years old and I was still learning how to sew. When I got to my grandparents house my Grandma had an idea to sew a pillow for my grandpa. I agreed so we went into my room at their house and took out the sewing machine and we closed the door so he doesn’t know what we’re doing. After about 20 minutes we were
able to sew the pillow cover onto the pillow. Once we were done we found my grandpa out on the patio so I came over and showed him the pillow and he looked very happy. My grandma made us take a picture and the picture we
took is the drawing I made for my ArtLink. Now in 2025 I think my grandma still has the pillow even after my grandpa died in 2023. I selected this story because this was a nice memory I always like to remember which can help me remember other memories of me with my grandpa. It’s me and my grandpa at my grandparents house in Palm Coast, Florida and it’s me holding up a pillow in the back patio while my grandpa points to the
pillow. We were posing for a picture. In the back is the pool my grandparents used to have and there’s also the shed and the backyard in the back. The trees are Palm trees and the house behind the fencing is one of their neighbors.There’s bushes behind the window also. The door is a way to the backyard.

One detail is my family was mostly involved in sports. My mom played lacrosse and soccer when she was in highschool. My dad played football in highschool and so did my papa and my pop-pop (grandpa). My sister does track and soccer in highschool. I do lacrosse, field hockey, basketball and sometimes hockey related things.

Another detail is all my family lives in Florida except for my dad, mom, me and my sister. In 2018 we moved up from Florida to Connecticut. I lived in Florida for most of my life in Palm Coast. The rest of my family lives in Jacksonville or close to Palm Coast. Me and my family would always go bowling while we lived in Florida or we would go to the beach.

I like Hockey because ever since I was in 5th grade I was watching the show The Mighty Ducks, the newest one and I loved hockey ever since then. I always kept bugging my dad after watching the show to get me hockey gear so I could play. After like 2 years of me saving up to 600 dollars I was finally able to get hockey gear and I was already a bit experienced with skating since I did learn to skate and went skating every other Sunday for the past 2 years of
saving the money. A few months after I did learn how to play Hockey and I wasn’t the best at it but the next time I did it in 2024 I was WAY better. I was scoring goals and the coaches kept complimenting me. Also I love hockey because I went to a Flyers game on February 26th, 2024 in Philadelphia to see them play against the New York Rangers and It was amazing. I was so excited watching them play and I didn’t care that much that they lost. I was just happy that I was able to go to a Flyers game for my late Birthday present.

I dislike Planes because the one time I was going on a trip to Florida for Thanksgiving to surprise my grandparents and family living down there it was raining outside while we boarded the plane. The rain made the plane go down
then back up for takeoff and there was just SO much turbulence. I already was afraid to go on a plane so this just made it worse. When we got into the air there was BAD turbulence for the whole 2 hours except for 10 minutes. I was holding on for dear life to the table on the back of the seat. I thought I was gonna have a panic attack because I was shaking so much and I was crying really bad thinking we were gonna go down and die. My dad and sister didn’t pay much attention to it and I have no clue how they didn’t. My dad did notice that there was a lot of turbulence and was annoyed by it. Once we landed and got to my grandparents house my head was so dizzy and it still felt like I was on the plane. It was the worst.

I want to be a marine Biologist because I’ve always loved sea life and I would always love to study about the ocean and the animals. I was always so curious about what was in the water where we hadn’t explored yet and I would love to try and study about it. Whenever we have to do something similar to marine biology or anything with sea animals or the sea in science I would get so excited. I also know many facts about some sea animals but not so much about the ocean.
