I am in front of Rahu’s eye.
“In my piece you see the “kleang Ek” (a special kind of khmer kite that makes seven musical sounds when it is flown). It is flown during harvesting season (November, December) since that is when it is windy. Its form appears in light blue at the center and center right of the painting. On the surface of the kite, an image shows villagers harvesting rice. At the bottom of my picture you see the mythical creature, “Rahu”, who stands for the passage of time which cannot be turned back. The ornamental vines surrounding Rahu and the kites are called “Phrri Des”, a particular form of ornament specific to Cambodia.”
I have five brothers and sisters. I like to play sports. I want to be a famous artist.
