About the Artwork

My family is in a Chinese restaurant in the morning eating dim sum (Chinese traditional breakfast). There are waitresses in the drawing. They are carrying/pushing carts of food around and when you want a certain dish to eat you just call them to come to you. The background has a Chinese word meaning good luck. Eating dim sum is custom of spending time with your family. I am depicting the value of spending time with family. This value is important to me because it’s my family that cares about me and loves me.

Featured food(s) Char Siu Bao (steamed buns with barbequed pork), dumplings with pork, shrimp and dried mushrooms, chicken feet in black bean sauce.

The man with the tie is my dad. The woman to the right of my dad is my mom. The girl on the left is my sister. The boy to the right is my brother. I like to draw in my free time. I also like to go swimming in the summer or play volleyball. I like to go to the park and take nice long walks with my best friend. I like to eat strawberries. I dislike the dark.I want to become a pediatrician when I grow up. I love to work with children.
