The picture is a representation of something that we always have in our tables: handmade corn tortillas. They are delicious. There is a lady making the tortillas, and two elotes (ears of corn) as a symbol for the tortillas. I depicted the value of the traditions taught by our grandparents.

I live with my grandfather, my brother who is 13 years old, and I do not have parents. I like to draw and practice guitar and drumming. I want to be able to live from my art, have my own art studio, and sell my paintings to people from other countries. The school does cleaning campaigns together with the municipality. We clean up around the rivers, creeks, and streets. There are many garbage cans in my town.

Yo vivo con mi abuelo y mi hermano que tiene 13 años, no tengo padres. Me gusta dibujar y practicar la guitarra y los tambores. Quiero ser capaz de vivir de mi arte, tener mi propio estudio y vender mis dibujos a personas de otros paises. La escuela hace campañas de limpieza con la municipalidad. Limpiamos los rios, las cañadas y las calles. También tenemos muchas canecas de basura en mi pueblo.
