I am showing the celebration of Guatemalan Independence Day on September 15. We parade with candle lamps through the different streets in our town. My picture shows the value of being good citizens and the lights that illuminate us to begin a new year of independence.

I have a mom, dad, and siblings. In my free time I help my dad sell things at the market. I want to be a lawyer when I grow up. We keep our environment clean and do not burn garbage. I put the trash in the right receptacle.

Cada 14 de Septiembre celebramos la independencia nacional, desfilamos con faroles por las diferentes calles de nuestro pueblo.

Vivo con mi mamá, mi papá y mis seis hermanos. Mis papas tienen un negocio en el mercado y yo les ayudo en mi tiempo libre, cuando crezca quiero ser una licenciada. Me gusta mantener mi medio ambiente limpio, evitando quemar basura y colocandola en su lugar.
