About the Artwork

A woman is enjoying the night of Rio de Janeiro. In old times, the light of the buildings was beautiful, not having the pollution we have now. Rio is a city that never sleeps. Her dress is inspired by the great Brazilian stylist Blodovil. Her red hair imitating fire explains my personal vision of Brazil: it is hot, dynamic, creative, and free. The value is to avoid stereotypes.

NOTE:
*Clodovil Hernandes (1937-2009) was a Brazilian fashion designer, television presenter, and politician. Hernandes made his fame as a fashion stylist during the 1960s and 1970s. In 2006 he was elected federal congressman for the state of São Paulo in Brazil.

I have a spoiled dog, a brother who wants to be an architect, an unhealthy dad, and a mother who always burns the rice when she cooks. We speak really awful English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Japanese. In my free time, I draw, listen to Florence + the Machine, watch the Big Bang Theory and Friends, and post on my blog. I hate stereotypes, people mistreating animals, and eating meat.
