2018 - Highlight

ArtLink 2017-2018 Theme Assignment:

We asked students to think through their recent experiences at home, at school, or in the community and select one that is particularly memorable or that stands out, a “Highlight”. A highlight can be defined as “an outstanding, important, or interesting part of an event or period of time.” Maybe the experience was surprising or unusual or particularly meaningful. Maybe it’s one that interrupted their daily routine. Or maybe it took place on an extraordinary day.

In their artwork, the students had to thoughtfully capture a specific interaction to share. This moment might include their families, classmates, friends or community members taking part in an activity that reveals a meaningful cultural value.
