Art Workshops
Workshops - Discovering Culture through Art.

In this 60-minute interactive workshop our presenter puts students into "cultural detective"” teams to examine 25 pieces of art produced by talented young artists from around the world.

Through age-appropriate discussion, students delve beneath each painting’s subject matter to explore cultural issues such as the importance of traditions, the role of the family, gender roles in the world, how education is valued here and abroad, why sports and games are so popular, and other relevant topics.

Over the past five years, we’ve given well over 200 of these cultural art workshops to area school classes, and teachers have consistently told us that this “hands on” learning opportunity has a lasting impact on their students.

We can tailor the workshop to educator needs and focus the workshops on a specific country (Eg., China, India, etc); specific region (Rainforest regions, Islamic countries) or specific issues (religion, tradition, gender, social issues, etc.).
